Just
Almonds today announced that they have received a Kosher
Certification from Vaad Hakarshrus of Northern California.
To receive the certification, Just Almonds was required to
pass a preliminary inspection of
entire company and it's products for kosher status and ensure that the facility and products continue to comply with the kosher status.
Kosher Almonds
Just Almonds obtained the certification in support of clients requiring kosher certified foods.
“We are doing everything that we can to ensure that our
products are kosher” said Jeff Sawyer, Just Almonds founder.
“We did this because we realized that many of our client base requires their food to be certified.”
Just Almonds frequently publishes stories in their monthly
newsletter on the research they’ve discovered on the internet. “We’re a
young company, and we’re trying to do everything that we can to support
this community.”
The Vaad Hakashrus of Northern California, also known as Northern
California Kosher, is a community service organization whose mission is
the maintenance of a high level of Kosher quality supervision. The word
"Vaad" in Hebrew means association. It is composed of Rabbinic and lay
leaders providing kosher certification, supervision, and inspection for
caterers, wholesale and retail food vendors, and food production
companies in Northern California.
The VAAD was founded in 1996 by a cross-section of the Rabbis and
concerned kosher-observant people in the area who saw the need for an
improved level of kosher supervision in Northern California.
Currently the VAAD supervises 17
eating establishments, 22 food production facilities, 8 caterers who are always kosher, and has supervised over 120 events with over 40 different caterers. (A complete directory is available here).
In addition to our own work, Vaad members subcontract with other
international kosher agencies (the OU,OK, Kof-K, Star-K,etc.) to
supervise almost all of the kosher food production in Northern
California.

RENO, NV. Just Almonds today announced that they have received a Gluen-Free Certification from the Gluten-Free Certification Organization of Auburn, Washington.
To receive the certification, Just Almonds is required to perform gluten testing for their products on a yearly basis.
Gluten-free Almonds
Just Almonds obtained the certification in support of children and adults who have Celiac Disease and/or wheat allergies.
“We wanted to assure many of our customers with Celiac disease and wheat allergies that we are doing everything that we can to ensure that our products are gluten-free” said Jeff Sawyer, Just Almonds founder.
“We did this because we realized the enormous discomfort that even a small amount of gluten can cause these customers.”

Gluten-Free Certification Organization (GFCO) provides an independent service to supervise gluten-free food production according to a consistent, defined, science-based standard that is confirmed by field inspections, in order to achieve heightened consumer confidence and safety.
